Looking for some advice from some of you COOL guys out there!
I'm starting to restore the AC to working condition on my 82. Supposedly the compressor clutch is toasted so I'm just going to relace the whole compressor. I'm going to assume the hoses and heat exchangers etc are still in tact but I think I should make sure all the seals are good before I try to charge it back up.
What seals need to be relaced and is there someplace I can gert a basic seal kit??
Any other advice from the experts out there _________________ Two tone blue , 350 CI, 1982 Caballero formerly from the great state of OK.

Before you do much pull a vacuum on the system. I am assuming there is no charge currently.
If it will hold a vacuum for a few weeks then start your repair process. _________________ 1986 El Camino

Sorry, got side tracked for a bit but back on the quest. Supposedly only the compressor clutch is siezed and ther is still a
charge in it but who knows. It has a drier with a tag on it saying it is compatible with both R12 and 134 so it is probably not original but no 34 port adaptors on it so I'm not sure what 's in it so when I swap the compressor I need to evac and recharge with 134a. This will be my first experience doing this. _________________ Two tone blue , 350 CI, 1982 Caballero formerly from the great state of OK.
