I need the tailgate trim for my 79 caballero. This trim was only put on the caballeros, not the elkys, therefore making it really hard to find. It was not there when I bought it Mad . My brother works at a salvage yard where they have a 79 caballero. I was happy to hear this but I went there and it didnt have a tailgate Mad . If anybody knows where I can find this piece of trim, please let me know. Thanks

Is this a piece of trim lower on the tailgate and not the one at the top? If so I have a Caballero parts book and can look the part up for you if you want to get a new one, if it's avaliable.

www.gmpartsdirect.com has this for the part number I found:

Part # 20498749
CATEGORY: We Do Not Ship Rear Liftgate Glass
PACK QTY: 1 CORE CHARGE: $0.00
GM LIST: $136.79
OUR PRICE: $80.71

This is for a new part. GM is where most of the places sell new parts get them from. You're mostly paying for the fact that they put it in a catalog or a web page that you can see. If you want I can scan the 2 pages for the 78-81 and you can see for yourself.
