I am replaceing the #6 compressor, condensor and expansion valve on my car. All the manuals say replace the o rings but don't leave the system open for long. Where can I determine what rings to get before I yank the system open? What is a good source for parts? Does anyone sell an o ring kit? Do the o rings have to be a special material? Etc etc.???

The o-rings are specific to AC use. Some parts houses have them in a kit for changing over to 134a.

Unless you leave the car out in the rain or other moisture laden circumstances you can leave it open long enough to het the o-rings and reconnect the fittings.
