Just installed a set of hooker super comp heaters and can not fit the oil sending unit in. all i could fit in was a plug. i'm sure you guys have worked this out. any help pwould be great.

not knowing your exact setup, i will describe how i fixed my problem on my 86. reduced down to 1/8, 45 angled up and out, short nipple, another 45 angled up, screwed sending unit in. you have to tweak the 45's right before you finish tightening to keep everything from touching anywhere. took about 4 hours playing with different nipples but well worth the effort. most of that time was scrounging through my junk bins. now i've got pressure and idiot light for the occasional "other" driver. hope this helps.
