We have no smog regulation and emissions test where i am i have dual flowtech headers straight to flowmaster mufflers then straight to the back .No computer stuff on car. No cat converter. My 85 sounds awsome with the Flowmasters. other stuff on car is holley carb and edelbroke intake performer series.
My question is what is major difference between my stock 85 exhaust system and now the updated version.

The stock exhaust would have had a single cat, muffler and pipe that began with a Y-pipe. You would have had exhuast manifolds with A.I.R. pump attachments.

Hi martinroy,

I have basically the same thing you have on your setup. edelbrock 600 carb, wiend dual plane intake, changed from stock manifold to flowtech headers and changed from cherry bombs with exhaust all the way out the back to 2 chamber flowmasters and exhaust coming out from back of rear wheels.

Your elky should be able to breath a whole lot better. Smile
