im still here, after paying IRS and a few bill collectors things are looking up again.Weather is turning real nice again which is a change for the better. Now this brings me to a question for our Elky gurus. My son thinks he has carte blanche to my Elky.He took it out twice while i was sleeping, one time he run the side ever so slightly against the white fence and now has a line of paint on the side.
Does any one here know how to install a very simple kill switch that can be hidden some where in the inside of the car.Ive told my son not to take it any more while i sleep but somehow i dont trust him.I dont think i want to alarm it ,i just want a kill switch for my 85 elky.

Still checking in from time to time-my account is not working properly so I don't get email notifications....I'm up near Eureka 64 bigblock.....Tried to start it today, been probably 3 months, almost turned over, dead battery dammit.
Bamboo- you can wire in a kill switch to the starter solenoid off the back of your ignition switch pretty easily, but if your son can figure out how to jump between the starter solenoid and the battery terminal on the starter he can still get it started. If that's the case you'll need to install a master disconnect switch on the battery.

New to Nor-Cal here and new to the forum. I do want a 78-87 Elky, but I'll try for any 78-87 Gbody at the right price once funds become available. Montes are my favorite and have had several of them over the years. But when I see all the El Caminos around town every day I want one. _________________ 1980 El Camino. I'm in Redding. 66, 350 4sp, 2-70 A/C, old paint, terrible interior, but love it to death. Had it since 1989, just got it running this summer, it had been in storage for 7 years. Boy, does that ruin things! No pics on computer, but looks similar to pix of graffix 65, similar yellow, although my paint isn't what it was in the 80's ! ! Will update with pix soon, AC
