I know this is a very simple thing to do but I haven't given it any elbow grease as I am afraid of bending or ruining the molding.
Can some please tell me the proper prochedure for removing this molding. Where do you insert the tool, on the ends? back, front?

Thank you kindly,

Jim

Jim,

You have to remove the inner panel of the tailgate. Once that is off there are two black panels covering the access holes. Take those off and shine a flashlight up into the tailgate. You should see 4 nuts spaced evenly along the inside top of the tailgate. Use a small (1/4" drive) socket wrench with an extension to loosen them up. I think the nuts are 3/8", but I don't remember for sure.

Thanks Dave,

I'll give that a try.
