i've heard that talking an iron set on low and using it on the bubble will reheat the glue and restick the headliner. I've never tried it yet so you may want to get a second opinion since this is something i've just heard about doing.

You take out the headliner and have it recovered.

It's not the glue that causes this. It's the foam backing on the headliner cloth that breaks down over time. It will only get worse. You can buy a complete new fiberglass headliner board including new cloth for about $120, or you can have your old headliner board recovered for about $60-75.

Take the headliner down. Clean ALL the foam stuff off the liner & the cloth. Go get some 3m adhesive spray & LIGHTLY spray the liner & put the cloth back on. I did this many years ago with no problems at all.
