In my 86 elky and was wondering if there is any thing else that I would need to do to get it running.
I’ve been reading about fuel lines and getting a new fuel tank and pump is that the case if I put this engine in my elky?

Any fuel injected motor will need those upgrades. You will also need to get motor mount adapter plates, either notch the crossmember or get the oil pan modified to clear the crossmember, you will also need to cut a small section of the AC box to clear the head, get the computer reprogrammed or get the software and do it yourself. That's a few of the things will need to be done. I don't want to scare you off of doing it, it is very doable and has been done by many people into G-Bodies.
You might want to look at the conversion/hybrid section of LS1tech.com and do some searches and some reading. Let us know you decide to do. _________________ '82 El Camino with an LT1 from a 95 Impala SS
That's the great thing about this forum, it's pretty likely somebody has already done what you're thinking about and can show you the tricks.
My solution was an LT1, because an engine/transmission/computer package was available for a good price. It has worked well for me for a year -- I'm down to rigging cruise control and reprogramming the computer, but the basic engine runs fine -- more power, better gas mileage, better drivability as seasons change. What's not to like?
