Has anyone installed B-body spindles with 12"brakes as well as running 1" drop springs in front? This may have been covered before, i just haven't found it yet. With the B-body spindles being taller just not sure how that would effect the lowering aspect. Any help is appreciated

Assuming you're talking A-body, There's a neat article on just this swap in the recent copy of Chevy High Performance Mag (Dec 07 issue, Page 36). Hope it helps.
I see this is your first post (at least it was back on 5 Sept when you posted the question), so welcome to the forums, Josh!

By different upper A-arm do you mean like in a matching pair scenario? I'm very interested in this as well.
I installed a tubular suspension in my B-body platform. I really like the look, stance, ride, etc..
If I replace the upper and lower A-arms with tubular, what else will I need to get? Spindles and brakes from a B-body as well? _________________ Dropped Fullsize

You need12 " rotor's from a 1988-1992 1le camro g.m p/n #18016035 ,calipers from a 1970-1976 camro ,master cylinder w 1" 1/8 brake line w/power brake's .You will also need upper a-arm's global west /hotckis (which I used) If you use your stocl spindle's the camber is wrong.I also used s-10 spring Moog#5660 in front ,still working on rear.Might also want to use f-body steering box w/"ws" or"yh" stamped into it any 82-92 w/15" or 16" wheels .Hope this help

On my 83 I used the Hotchkiss upper arms(no lowers when I built it), 12" B Body spindles(78-current wagons), 92 1LE rotors, 74 Camaro calipers and pads, and I had Edelbrock springs set up for a G body. The car is too low in front now, the lower a arms rest on the rubber stop on the frame. Looks cool but ride is bouncy. Tried putting Moros trick springs in the front and nothing changed. Will try MOOG 5642 springs next. For the steering box I used a box from a 92 1LE, got it at Autozone while picking up the rotors for the same car. Makes a big difference.
Let me say this again...NO..........the camber will be wrong,MUST use after market upper a -arm's there are shorter for the 12" conversion.Read my last reply .sorry,it's the only way to do it right ,dont try to cheap out.It will only cost you in the long run.Anything else you need help with. Just ask
