That annoying sound that you get when you mash the gas with glass packs and full exhaust! Not to say I never had an exhaust like that. My Elky did when I first got her and when I first added headers it got even louder. Years ago it was the thing to do. I must have done over a hundred systems for guys back then some dumped out the side in front of the rear wheels and some out the back. Even a few trucks up through the bed with flappers! _________________ "Still Just Truck'in"

Kinda reminds me of my '66 Mustang when I was 17. Do not do what I did. I hooked them up right to the headers. Within 2 months I burned them out. Instead of cherry red, they turned yellow in the front then went thru orange in the middle and finally red at the back. Loudest car in the valley, except for my friends 57 Belair, but he ran straight headers and drag raced it only. We lived in a small town and at night my mother would hear me coming into town, with the windows closed because it was winter. In the summer, with the windows open, she could hear me coming out of the next town. And yes they did indeed cackle, until they burned out, then they back-fired like hell. _________________ Mama Mayhem's Gallery

Through my experience, SOMETIMES glass packs can sound pretty good but it varied from vehicle to vehicle. I guess it had more to do with how each engine was built or something like that. Compression, camshaft, who knows? Kudos to you "Kid", if thats what you wanted and YOU like how they sound, thats the most important part regardless as to what some other folks might say. Thumbs up to ya!!!! _________________ Rhimmel
