i have a 1980 el camino, speedometer does'nt work and i'm replacing the dash gauges so i figure nows the time to fix cable this car doesnt have cruise so my question is? do i only have a one piece cable or is it still a two piece? also do i have to use my old cable housing or do the come all ready with the housing on a new one from the local autozone

One piece cable. You can buy the whole assy so it's just a remove & replace.

good to know thank you, now all i have to do is find a v-8 tach to go in my gauge pod, figures the set i bought must have came out of a v-6 idle @ 4000 i don't think so

When my v8 tach went out, I found a v6 tach & swapped the guts out of my v8 one. It's worked great for a few years now.
