I am trying to find a complete set of poly bushings for my 1978 GMC Caballero. I was wondering if you guys might have any recommendations for me. Also i am looking at lower the vehicle but i do not want to lose any right quality. i was wondering what lowering springs i should purchase with the best ride quality.
As far as a bushing set for your Caballero. I would reccomend Energy suspension bushings. Depending on what bushing exactly you are looking for depends on where you can buy them. Summit sells most if not all of them. As far as a "COMPLETE" set! (every bushing on the car?) I don't think they sell "COMPLETE" sets. I've heard of these poly bushings making alot of noise. They are more of a performance orientated item. Stiffer and bumpier than regular rubber bushings which in return means taking corners a bit faster with more control. So its a trade off in my opinion. Not ideal if you looking to keep your ride quality.
As far as lowering the vehicle and springs to buy maybe somebody with more experiance and knowladge can chime in here.
Try searching the site. I know there's tons of information here _________________ I can't complain, Even if i did no one would listen!
Travis, you can look here. These are a little pricey but are greasable to keep the noise away.
I have all poly bushings and what I found is that on decent roads the ride is fine. It lets you know when you hit a bump. That is with Hotckis 1" drop springs all the way around also.
At the bottom of the bushing page they also offer the tool to replace them with. _________________ 84 Elky with 455 Buick, Tremec TKO600 5 speed, 8.5 3:42 posi -
