While there are no dues or fees for membership at El Camino
Central, we do rely upon member contributions to keep the site and server running smoothly. As membership grows, so does
site usage. Recently we have seen a huge jump in server load and bandwidth. As a result, at times we notice extremely
slow page loading. Many of you may have also noticed the new member rankings used to recognize supporting members.

Welcome Jacob. Make sure to say hello in the new member section too.
I have a '75 El Camino 4th gen and little knowledge of any other generations but I reckon my advice will give you a start.
The VIN plate should be visible on the lower left hand side of the windscreen. If not there, there maybe a plate or number stamped on/in the firewall.
The Trim tag should also be somewhere on the firewall too.
Build Sheet?, if you are lucky it may still be somewhere buried in the interior. Some members say they find them on the underside the seat in the metal webbing, some in the door (which requires you to pull the door trim off and search inside the door. I have never discovered a Build Sheet in mine. _________________ John (from Down Under)
