I aquired some sway bars from a good friend of mine. He originally purchased them some time ago from PST (Performance Suspension Technology) I am aware of the fact that most OE bars attach to the rear lower control arms via two bolts on each side thus completely locating the bar itself and therefore requiring no additional hardware other than the four bolts, nuts and "sleeves" for inside of the control arm. I have contacted PST's supplier (Addco) and they seem not to know of anything other than "All hardware required for installation should have been included with the purchase of the bar"....well, DUH! My original question for them was, "is there a hardware kit available for purchase as I do not have the harware that would have been originally supplied at the time of the original purchase..? My question for all of you is:
Has anyone used a rear bar of this design? If so, was there a separate hardware kit to install it? Does anyone have any kind of part number?
I know it seems as if I have a bad case of "diarrhea of the mouth" but any input would be greatly appreciated.
try summitt racing. i got mines there.they did not bolt directly to the arm, instead they had a plate that bolted to the arm, then the bar to that plate. anyhow all you need is a bolt with the sleeve to protect the arm, and probabby a "u" bolt. thats what mine required.

Hey, thanks for the reply, thought my timing is WAAAAAY off. I forgot about this post. Addco sent me the plates that you showed...makes sense. Too bad the bar hangs down so low. I have no functionality issues, I just draw up when straddling road kill... . Now I guess I should get to work on the rest of the suspension. A friend gave me a bunch of free parts, I should use them, huh?
Yeah, the possums and ground hogs will go under. Ya better dodge the deer, tho.

I heard that !!! Yours looks pretty sharp, in fact yours looks better underneath than the best spot on mine topside! Not only did I get the rear bar(minus brackets) but he also gave me a 1 1/8 front bar, ball joints (all four) inner and outer tie rods (only one adjusting sleeve), upper inner shafts and an idler arm...he is supposed to ship me some front coils too. He gave up on the car thing and now he works on a team that drag race Harley V-rods....which too bad won't fit in an El Camino _________________ Rhimmel
