Hi Guys,

Me again from sunny England with another problem. I am putting an LS1 from a 98 Camaro in my 68 Camino. I took the Camaro fuel tank and pump but cannot see how they can be used. Can I run this pump externally doing away with the sock and connecting this direct to my Camino fuel line. There are 4 pipes from the Camaro pump 1 fuel line 1 fuel return but what are the other 2 ? Would it not be easier to run an aftermarket pump like a Aeromotive and put a reurn line back into the original tank. Any opinions greatly appreciated.

KEV

Most people use an external pump. A few have used the camaro pump's by retrofitting the old tank. basically they weld and fab the tank to accept the newer pump. Still others have used the camaro tank and pump, simply made the body and chassi work with it. The best way to do it is to make the old tank work with the camaro pump. the cheapest way to do it is to just use an external pump with a corvette regulator or other aftermarket regulator.

The four lines are fuel pressure and return, line to charcoal canister, and vent to the filler neck.
