I found a Monte SS rear end I would like to buy. When I jacked it up one tire turns the other direction (Limited Slip?) What bothered me is the other side just barely turns then stops. Is this a mjor thing or something simple. Please HELP, I don't want to lose out on this great deal.
PS. If I get it I'll be selling my 308 Limited Slip. Thanks for any Help.

Is an open rear-end.
If it were posi, BOTH wheels will turn in same direction.
Hard to beleive a SS with an open rear-end in it!

Less than 50% of 83-88 MCSS had a posi rear end.

The good news is, it's definitely a Monte SS 7.625" rear end. The bad news is, it's not a posi rear end.

2TF is a 3.73 open rear
2TH is a 3.73 posi rear
