pm Post subject: Computer Crashed Lost All My Pictures!!
Is there any way to get my Elky pictures from my gallery back into my computer? This really sucks! I lost over 500 pictures but my bad for not putting them on a disc I guess. _________________ "Still Just Truck'in"

Open each picture and RIGHT click anywhere within the picture. You will get a box and one of the options will be "save image as" LEFT click that option and when the download box appears browse your way to the folder where you want to save it on your harddrive. HTH
Sorry you lost them all. I wish there was a quicker way but I don't think so. _________________ 84 Elky with 455 Buick, Tremec TKO600 5 speed, 8.5 3:42 posi -

That's the way to do it. _________________ '82 El Camino with an LT1 from a 95 Impala SS
PaPa ; Are you sure you have lost access to all your files ? Crashes can be dealt with in several ways. Can you boot up at all ? Maybe you have a virus, in wich case it could be dealt with in several ways. Have you tried starting it on "safe" mode ? Unless the problem is hardware failure there are several ways to deal with it and your pics and other files can still be there ! Just the fact that you were able to post here afterwards tells me you are up and running so all might not be lost. Try Googling TrendMicro and do their free virus scan. Also there is also (free) SpyBot Search and Destroy you can install and scan your machine with. Hope this info can help you, Fred _________________ Chillin in Lauderdale
szonk, my pictures was one of the few things the computer whiz kid couldn't get back unfortunately. He worked for hours cleaning up the computer but just could not save it all. Some we had sent out to others so we will get some back but others are just lost. Could be worse I guess! Hey guys! When I follow your instructions all that ends up in my picture album is a file that the computer does not recognize and can't open! Any other ideas? _________________ "Still Just Truck'in"

Ok. When you right click on the picture, you should get the option window asking you what you want to do with the file and you press save, does it indicate JPEG ? _________________ Chillin in Lauderdale

Let's see Johnny, right click on the photo, on that drop down, left click save as, observe the folder it's going to be saved in, also the name it will be saved as, as well as the file type you want it to be (jpeg) then click save. Yep it worked for me, when I go to the folder and click it, it opens.
With all that being correct, there has to be a software issue if it does not recognize it. WOW, THAT's a real bummer. Hope it can be figured out. good luck.

Back in the early days when I first got a computer and used to indulge in "risky internet research", I was at times prone to maladies and "nasties" so, my good friend Louie (the whiz) from Naples, used to help me by doing a remote control hook up and he could look into my machine and diagnose problems. Is there a doctor in the house ? _________________ Chillin in Lauderdale
Why is it I can click on the image you posted and send it to my pictures on my computer but I can't do it from my album? _________________ "Still Just Truck'in"
