The well plugs had started to leak in my carb. I read about a permanent fix with replacement plugs rather than the glue method. I had a go at that today and took a few pics.

Patient ready for surgery.

This one did not come out good but you drive the roll pin back to release the accel pump lever.

Remove the top screws, don't forget the two by the booster.

Remove the screw holding the choke linkage on.

Topless

Remove the three screws from the bottom

With the bottom off you can access the plugs

The casting is staked around the plugs, you need to file that down.

Ready to remove

You need to make this tool out of some stiff rod. It needs a little dog leg, and the end rounded.

Tool installed in air bleed, tap with hammer, plug pops out. Repeat on the other side.

Plugs out.

Deburr holes with a blade

Well plug kit from Napa, these plugs have O rings to seal them.

Lube with drop of oil and tap into place. The raised points on the new plugs were a bit long and bottomed out in the base keeping it from going together. A few more taps to flatten the points out a bit made room. There is also a foam piece that comes with it that goes in the base under the plugs.
