Hi,

I have a 78 El Camino, 350 V8. I purchased this vehicle back in March for a restoration project. I have read many great ideas and suggestions on this forum and I am hoping to find an answer to my question......

I noticed my AC / Heater blower motor always runs on low speed when the ignition is on. It will run at low speed even with the selector in the Off position. While it is in the Off position the fan will not operate at any other speed. If I turn on the AC, Heat or Vent everything functions normally including the fan speed.

For cosmetic reasons I have changed out the AC, Heat control unit. No changes were noted.

Is there a bad relay somewhere or is something wired wrong somewhere? What should I check next?

Thanks in advance for any advice

The fan running on a low speed when the ignition is on is a normal venting feature of the vehicle.
