Working on a 69 for a customer. Went to install brake booster and master. (9" dual diaphram booster, corvette style master cyl.) Ran into 2 bigish problems. First, the booster and master stick up and out from the firewall so far that there is no way it will fit under the hood. I know it has to be at angle for the pedal pushrod, but this thing sticks way up and out. The master/booster came from SSBC. I think the brackets that attach the booster to the firewall are incorrect. My customer is calling the mfg. to see if the brackets are correct. The second problem is trying to route the brake lines. This is a car that someone else started, my customer bought and now I am trying to put it all back together. They are the stock type brake lines, but are bent way over towards the psgr. side of the vehicle. So, it is real hard to tell just how they are supposed to route. Under the booster? Behind the booster? They are kinda tweaked.
Anybody out there have this set-up and pictures of the lines and how the booster mounts up? I would appreciate any help.

That 69 should be the same as my 71, around behind the booster and under the bracket to the proportioning valve on the frame. Sorry, I never took pics of mine, but I did just look at it. _________________ Mama Mayhem's Gallery
