I found this site in school last year. i was just googleing some stuff for my elcamino which i put all my spare time and money into. everytime id search something it would always take me here. so i signed up and never really did much here. now ive graduated and i spend a lot of my time here. everyone is a big help. im 18 now and so far ive had my 83 for about 3-4 years now. it was $700 when my dad bought it for me. since then i cant stop loving it or putting money into it. ive putsome cool old rallys on it with some big fat tires. new carpet in it. new headliner re painted all the inside plastics black and re covered the seats with new seat covers i got from the elcamino store. they sucked by the way. they were way to big. anyway ive successfully converted it from a 305 automatic to a 383 muncie four speed. which im verry proud of my self for compleating because i had lettle help and it turned out good. ive put a totally new sound system which was custom made by yours truly with an alpine head unit 4in dash speakers and a small pioneer amp to power the alpine 6x9 coaxle rear speakers with a lanzar vibe 241 1000 watt amp that pushes a kicker compvr12. i love doing all my own work on my elcamino and im no where near done. you guys here are awesome because you share the shame passion for the elcamino i do. i love reading about all the cool elcamino projects you guys tackle. keep them comming

I don't know if your excited as i am, but i just got a 1979 el camino for myself at a cheap price. Needs work, but in great shape, i love restoring cars to my own vision anyway.

i will try to post pics up as soon as I can.

thanks

hope to meet nice people.

G'day and welcome to ECC Jeff & Sam.

Jeff, you are a bloody marvel mate. Doing all that work on your El Camino at your age. Well done. Looking forward to seeing those pics.

Welcome to ECC Jeffery, You have accomplished a lot for your age. Just goes to show people what motivation can do. This demonstrates good qualities in young men and women. Keep it up.

Doug
