1972 GMC SPRINT
Rare version of the El-Camino. In 1972 General Motors made 57,147 El-Caminos and only 6,473 GMC Sprints. This is a rare orginal Big Block option Sprint.
396 Big Block engine has been rebuilt and runs strong. MSD Ignition, Edelbrock, Holley Fuel Pump, Headers with turbo muffler dual exhaust. Rebuilt Turbo 350 with TCI shift kit and TCI 2000 stall street torque converter. New Strange Enginerring posi unit with 3.31 gears and Superior axles with all new seals. Cragar steel wheels with BFG tires. Black interior has been redone with new headliner, seatcovers and carpet. Sun tach and gauges and CD Player.
Paint is a few years old and is showing wear on a small part of the roof along with slight rust bubbles around lower rear wheel well. Stiil shines good due to clear coat. Vin# Starts with 5D80U that shows it is a Sprint "custom" model that orginally had the 402 Big Block from the factory. The 396 that is in it now is not the orginal engine.
This Sprint is a very depenable car and can be driven anywhere. It draws attention wherever it goes.
