Want to see if I should do any cleaning or prep before I re-install the gas tank on my '84.
The top of the tank is pretty crusty. Should I clean and por-15 it or??
The outside of the tank of course!
Thanks!!
Inside prep/cleaning tips would be nice too if this is necessary.

POR-15 would be nice IF you think it's necessary. Check the inside for corrosion. Just don't use anything that's going to create a spark (like grinding) unless you flush the tank (non flammable cleaning solvent) a few times and allow it to vent outdoors for a day or two. _________________ "The day we lose our will to fight is the day we lose our freedom" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TG4fe9GlWS8
