My '76 El Camino is missing at least the compressor, mount & hoses for the A/C system (That is all that I can see). It still has the condensor infront of the radiator and the dryer on the firewall. The system seems complete from the firewall back, but I'm noit sure. The previous (& original) owner had new heads installed (Truck only has 72K miles) over ten years ago and the shop removed all the emissions control equipment (no big deal in rural Washington) and the non-functioning A/C equipment. My question is what is the best and most cost effective way to get my system back together? Should I convert to the new style of compressor & mount? Can I use junk yardparts or do I need to buy new equipment? I currently am running cast manifolds w/ duals, but I plan on installing headers in the near future. It sure gets hot here in S/W Washington in the summer and I would like to have A/C if possible. _________________ Iceberg
